Gabriel Diaz

President and CEO

A passionate serial entrepreneur, Gabriel created, expanded, and successfully sold multiple telecom companies. A UT Austin graduate, Gabriel’s career moved fast, and at the age of 29, he became Sr. VP of Sales at IP Communications, a national high-speed data provider. He founded Reallinx, a national data carrier that was acquired by GTT Communications. Mr. Diaz is a local business leader with a reputation for creating customer-centric businesses. He continues to make his mark on the business world by guiding and inspiring many other entrepreneurs. He served as an advisor for a technology incubator and is currently serving as President of the AEM Business and Entrepreneurship Association in Austin, Texas.


Chris Griffin

Chief Revenue Officer

With a telecom, software, and technology career spanning more than 20 years, Chris has held numerous senior leadership roles, including President, EVP, VP and Advisory Board Chairman. Having held management roles for multiple public companies, co-founded and sold a startup, and part of the executive team of several successful exits, Chris possesses a unique perspective and skillset for building and operating technology companies. Chris has worked or consulted for companies such as: Qwest Communications, 46Labs, StarView Solutions, One Source Networks, Network Kinetix, MCI, and West Corporation. Happily married with three children, Chris enjoys all things outdoors, travel and live music.


Juan Pablo Guzmán M.

Executive Vice President

Juan Pablo Guzmán M. brings extensive experience and leadership to NearLinx, having held key positions at leading companies in the industry. He led Concentrix’s growth in Costa Rica from ~800 to over 5,000 collaborators, playing a pivotal role as the Country Manager. Before that, he served as the Site Director at ResultsCX, leading country operations for three years. His earlier roles included Vice President and Senior Operations Manager at Bank of America and Account Manager for Foundever (Sykes).


Daniel Laguna

VP of Software Development

As the Software Development VP, Daniel is responsible for running several development initiatives (R&D, Blockchain development, project, and customer onboarding). He is an experienced development manager with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in Hibernate, Java, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), .NET Framework, and C#, he is a strong engineering professional with a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) focused in Computer and Information Sciences.


Ricardo Mejía

Director of Engineering Services

Ricardo Mejia brings over 15 years of extensive networking experience as Director of Engineering at NearLinx. As a certified CCNA/CCNP/CCNA Security instructor at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, Ricardo plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of networking professionals. He has held key positions with top industry leaders, including World Fuel Services and AT&T. At NearLinx, he spearheads critical projects in product design, assessing technology, organizational resources, and market demands. Renowned for his adept management skills, Ricardo excels in negotiating research contracts, preparing company budgets, and handling bids and contracts. He is proficient in developing schemes, designing detailed reports, and presenting results to clients. Additionally, Ricardo implements and enforces policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical operations within the organization. His strategic vision and technical acumen make him an invaluable asset to NearLinx and a leader in the ever-evolving networking field.


Tonie Lozano

Marketing Director

Tonie is an experienced Marketing leader with 20 years focusing on marketing strategy, campaign execution, and business development. Before joining NearLinx, she held multiple marketing and business development positions within the Security & Surveillance Technology industry as part of Pelco Inc. and later with global leader Schneider Electric. During her tenure, Tonie managed successful marketing programs for the LATAM and U.S. markets. Before moving to Austin, Texas, she was part of the Central & Eastern Europe Business Information Center, in Washington, D.C. In her early professional years, she worked for GE Financial as Sales Support Leader for Central Texas. Tonie has a passion for meeting people and creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
